Damien is an epee coach at Nova Fencing Club. Damien is a previously A-rated Epeeist and a certified Maitre D’Épée via the United States Fencing Coaches Association. He is currently serving on the USA Fencing Board of Directors as an elected At-Large Director (2023-2026). Additionally, Damien currently serves as the Director of Strategy and Analytics for the USA Men’s Epee Team where he responsible for creating data-driven tactics to plan and execute against the most elite opponents around the world.

Damien was the coach of a London 2012 Olympian in Modern Pentathlon, a World Maccabi Games silver medalist, and a member of the DC Fencers Club epee squad that took gold in the 2012 North American Cup. He was a four-year starter and co-captain at Brandeis University, where he was an intercollegiate fencing association (IFA) gold medalist.

  2. When I fenced foil 50 years ago our stance was a lot less open than what I observed in the Olympic competition. What has changed this?
